ANTICAPITALISM FOR ARTISTS
Anticapitalism for Artists is an inclusive education community dedicated to raising the class consciousness of artists of all kinds in order to transform the living conditions for both arts workers and the world. As the underlying system for not only the theater industry, but for America, the realities of capitalism impact everything. Anticapitalism for Artists offers a robust analysis of the accompanying inequities that are built into our foundational fabric -- steered by a small team of committed artist-organizers and realized through the community itself.

Through Beehive's partnership with Anticapitalism for Artists, Beehive supports an ongoing learning community, with an array of entry points into this conversation -- discussions, panels, teach-ins, etc. Beehive will help facilitate a deeper dramaturgical exploration of capitalism’s historical and current effect on art, and how class intersects with racism, sexism, and ableism -- all within the specific context of the theater industry and the arts as a whole.

Anticapitalism for Artists's politically-focused education courses and events are accessible to anyone, and designed for artists and creatives of all modes and practices, regardless of professional title or formal training, all on a donation-based pay model. In rejection of the elitist and hierarchical methods of academia -- and in favor of cooperatively learning with and from each other -- Anticapitalism for Artists's work and community stand on the principles of overcoming racial capitalism, heteropatriarchy, settler-colonialism, and imperialism.

BEEHIVE’S GUIDELINES FOR GIVING AND RECEIVING FEEDBACK
We have been asked on several occasions to share guidelines for giving and receiving feedback. We have organized that work into a set of tips that you can access below. There is no one way to approach collaboration, so we encourage all artists to find what works for them. But these represent our philosophy, and we hope you find them useful.
